No rational cause could be found for the explosion - it was simply designated an act of God. But, thinks Dirk Gently, which God? And why? What God would be hanging around Terminal Two of Heathrow Airport trying to catch the 15:37 to Oslo?"Då har jag läst andra boken om den väldigt skumma privatdetektiven Dirk Gently. Och den här berättelsen är precis lika skruvad som första. Den är alltså väldigt bra!
Här har vi bortglömda gudar, en försvunnen kvinna, ilskna örnar och en Coca Cola-maskin som dyker upp på alla möjliga och omöjliga ställen. Låter det helgalet? Det är det också men jag tycker verkligen om det.
Man kan väl lugnt säga att det är en speciell sorts humor i Adams böcker, och jag förstår att inte alla fastnar för den. Men jag tycker den är underbar, sättet han skriver på får mig att sitta och småskratta för mig själv flera gånger och ännu oftare sitter jag bara med ett leende på läpparna under läsningen.
Jag önskar det fanns fler böcker om Dirk. Men jag får väl nöja mig med att kolla på serien på Netflix nu, även om jag har hört att den är väldigt annorlunda från böckerna.
